The quintuple aim for health care improvement: A new imperative to advance health equity

Disparities in healthcare have been present and known for many years. The COVID-19 pandemic has put a spotlight on these gaps in how people experience care, forcing practitioners, health care leaders and policy makers to address these profound health inequities and provide healthcare for all.
