“The mission is so inspiring – the lives that have been changed and the successful journey that Accolade has already had – that’s why I’m here.”
Mike Hilton joined Accolade in November 2015 as Chief Product Officer. His focus is on transitioning Accolade from a services company to a products and services market leader. Mike and his team of more than 200 technology professionals are responsible for the company’s innovation strategy, platform development, product and software design, clinical strategy, as well as platform and ecosystem partnerships.
Under Hilton’s leadership, Accolade has developed a secure, open and scalable technology platform designed to support millions of members across the U.S.; enabled flexible design and development to respond to market needs; integrated mobile, online and telephonic applications; and leveraged an intelligent analytics engine with billions of data insights on member health, benefits engagement, provider quality, transparency and more.
Prior to Accolade, Hilton was co-founder of Concur with Accolade CEO Rajeev Singh and Steve Barnes. He was the founding CEO of Concur, and spent more than 20 years in various roles, including Chief Product Officer at the time of the company’s acquisition by SAP in 2014.
Before co-founding Concur, Hilton helped launch the sales force automation space as part of the team that created ACT! at Contact Software/Symantec. He began his career at Apple, where he led the development efforts for MacWrite Pro, the leading word processor for the Macintosh at the time.
Hilton received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Santa Cruz. He serves on the boards of Apptentive, which provides customer sentiment measurement solutions for brands, and Plex Systems, the first smart manufacturing platform to empower product innovators.
