As Senior Vice President and GM of Accolade Care Solutions, Aaron Apodaca has overall accountability for Accolade’s enterprise virtual primary care and mental health business. Apodaca joined Accolade through the acquisition of PlushCare where he was the chief commercial and strategy officer.
Prior to Accolade, Apodaca spent two decades as an operator, strategist and entrepreneur working across all sectors of healthcare in companies ranging from startups to Fortune 10 global enterprises. He led product strategy, business development and merger and acquisitions for a more than $1.5 billion division of Change Healthcare where he had responsibility for value-based payment, clinical decision support, risk adjustment, provider revenue cycle, payment accuracy and consumer engagement. Before Change, he led enterprise strategy for the $3 billion technology solutions segment of McKesson and architected the formation of Change Healthcare as a joint venture between McKesson and Blackstone. Prior to McKesson, Apodaca advised investors, government agencies, foundations and technology companies across the healthcare and life sciences industries. Apodaca began his career in healthcare as an entrepreneur, building and operating a telehealth network across 20 provider organizations that enabled early detection of eye disease and sight-saving treatment for patients with diabetes.
Apodaca holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on finance and information systems from the University of Southern California.
