Accolade is honored that two members of our leadership team were selected to present at Stanford’s 2015 Medicine X Conference on the University’s Campus in Northern California in September.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Alan Spiro was chosen from hundreds of the best medical and technological minds in the world to lead a discussion titled, “If you build it, will they use it? How understanding context and motivators can exponentially amplify consumers uses of healthcare technology-based services and tools.”
Dr. Spiro, in conjunction with Accolade’s Vice President of Client Experience Dr. Jeff Rubin and Grand Rounds’ Medical Director Dr. Shaundra Eichstadt, will explore:
• What does the health care consumer really need? • Are technology services and tools adequately filling that need? • What’s the consumer experience around and apart from their use of technology and how does this impact their use of technology? • How can we apply behavioral economics to increase use of health care technology?
The presentation is slated for Sunday, Sept. 27 at 10:55 a.m.
As the leading patient-centered conference on emerging technology and medicine, Med X 2015 will explore aging, misconceptions, population health and the cost of care.
“Medicine X is a catalyst for new ideas about the future of medicine and health care. The initiative explores how emerging technologies will advance the practice of medicine, improve health, and empower patients to be active participants in their own care. The “X” is meant to encourage thinking beyond numbers and trends —it represents the infinite possibilities for current and future information technologies to improve health,” according to the conference website.
Medicine X will take place from Sept. 24 through Sept. 27 in Stanford, California.
The conference’s tentative schedule was released early Wednesday and is subject to change.
